An update and a new helper

After completing all our work on the car, we kind of ran out of steam. Getting the car built was an end in itself. I have hardly driven it since.

Work has been busy for me and Chrissy disappeared off to University shortly after the car was finished.

But now it is going to get properly finished off over the next few months.

Chrissy and boyfriend Tom came and took the fuel tank out at the weekend and extracted from it the shutter from the filler cap mechanism that fell off and has been floating around the fuel tank ever since. This was, for once, not our cackhandedness but a mismanufactured part.

The car looks like it will shortly be going to stay with my sister (thanks Di) as we are moving out of this house and Dennis (the name Chrissy has chosen for our car) is having a new garage built in the highlands of Sotland, where Tim will give it some TLC and fit the hood etc.
